Ethan Szabo scored twice and Scott Rodrigue made 30 saves to lead the Navy Vets to their 31st win of the season on Friday night at Southwood to close out the regular season.
Sam Barry and Nolan Brett with his 29th of the season scored the other Vets goals.
The shutout was Rodrigue’s 2nd of the season.
There was a special Overager Ceremony prior to the game honouring the 3 graduating players – Tyler Smeda, Ty Crombie, and Mitch Penner.
It was also Fan Appreciation Night with many giveaways to thank the almost 14000 fans who came thru the doors this season.
The Vets end the regular season with a 31-8-3-0 record.
Davin Gray wins the Doherty Division scoring title with 16 goals and 47 assists for 63 points.
Tyler Bouck was the Doherty Division top goalie with a 2.45 GAA on 19 wins with 5 SO and a .927 SV%.
