Jake Phelan scored just under 6 minutes into OT to give the Navy Vets a 4-3 win in Hespeler on Sunday afternoon.
Ethan Szabo scored his 22nd of the season and added 2 assists to lead the Vet’s scoring, with Liam VanBradt & Rhylan Warford getting the other goals.
Phelan also had an assist for a 2-point game.
Tyler Bouck made 23 saves in the Navy Vets net to record the victory.
Hespeler had tied the game to send it to overtime with just over 6 minutes left in the 3rd period.
The Vets now have a record of 15-16-0-1 and sit in 5th place 7 points back of Tavistock but with 2 games in hand.
They travel to Paris on Monday night looking for a sweep of their 3 weekend games and get back to a .500 record.
