Brett’s powerplay goal gives Vets weekend sweep !!

Nolan Brett scored a powerplay goal 11 minutes into the 3rd period to break a 2-2 tie and lead the Navy Vets to a 3-2 win in Paris on Monday night.
The win gave the Vets’ a sweep of the 3-game weekend …
Early in the 1st period Vets goalie Graeme Noye stopped a penalty shot … his 2nd of the weekend and 3rd this season !!
The Vets other scoring was done by Rhylan Warford with his 2nd goal in 2 games and Ethan Szabo with his 23rd of the season with just 3 seconds left in the 2nd period to tie the game at 2-2. Team leading scorer Davin Gray collected an assist.
Noye made 34 saves for his 10th win of the season … he becomes only the 2nd Navy Vets goalie in the last 35 years of the franchise to record 3 consecutive 10+ win seasons joining Ron Nadalin who had 10+ wins in 4 consecutive seasons from 1996 to 1999.
The Vets also reached the .500 mark again with the win to put their record at 16-16-0-1 … they are 5 points back of 4th place Tavistock with a game-in-hand on the Braves.
They host the Braves on Friday night at Southwood Arena in a big 4th place battle between the Hwy 59 rivals !!
