Warford gets 2 in Vets 6th straight win !!

Rhylan Warford scored twice to lead the Navy Vets to a 5-3 win over Tavistock at Southwood on Friday night … including the last one which sent all the more than 500 fans home extra happy on Fan Appreciation Night with Free pizza courtesy a Dominos special promo.
The Vets now have a season best 6-game win straight … and have 9 straight wins at home.
Davin Gray had a goal and an assist while Diego Sabino and Nolan Brett had the other Vets goals.
Newly signed defenceman Dean Carey recorded an assist in his 1st game as a Vet.
Tyler Bouck made 35 saves in recording his division-leading 18th win of the season.
The good crowd pushed the season attendance over the 10000 mark for the 3rd straight season.
The victory gave the Vets a 27-10-1-2 record to remain in 3rd place 3 points back of 2nd place Norwich but the Merchants have 2 games in hand.
The Vets close out their regular season next weekend with 2 special events at Southwood … Overagers recognition night on Friday night when they host Norwich and then Minor Sports Day & Dan Dukes Day on Monday Family Day when they host New Hamburg.
