The Navy Vets lost 5-1 at Southwood on Friday night to the New Hamburg Firebirds to fall 3 points back of the 1st place Firebirds.
Anthony Pede led the Firebirds with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Cole Dann scored the Vets goal.
Tyler Bouck made 30 saves in taking the loss.

Nolan Brett scored twice in the 3rd period to lead the Navy Vets to a 4-2 victory in Wellesley on Saturday night !!
The goals were Brett’s 26th & 27th of the season.
Owen Lukings and Sam Barry scored the other Vets goals.
Scott Rodrigue made 30 saves in recording his 11th win of the season.

Tyler Bouck made 32 saves in recording his franchise record 5th shutout of the regular season on Family Day Monday afternoon at Southwood in a 4-0 win over the Paris Titans … in front of an estimated excited 1145 fans !!
Nolan Brett with his 28th of the season, Cole Dann, Nolan Burnside, and Brady Carne scored the Vets goals.
Doherty Division scoring leader Davin Gray had 2 assists to give him 47 on the season to go along with 16 goals for a total of 63 points.
The win was also Bouck’s 19th of the season … 1 shy of tying a team record of 20 wins in a regular season.
The Vets now have a record of 30-8-3-0 and sit 1 point back of New Hamburg with 1 game left … the Firebirds though have 2 games left.
The Navy Vets will close out their regular season on Friday night at Southwood against the Tavistock Braves for Fan Appreciation Night with the annual special Overager Ceremony.
