The Navy Vets remain on top after a split of their games this weekend …

Sam Barry’s goal with 41 seconds left gave the Navy Vets a 4-3 comeback victory at Southwood Arena Friday Night over rival Norwich Merchants !!
Nolan Burnside had tied the game with just over 2 minutes left on a beautiful goal after being sprung on a nifty pass from Tyler Smeda ..
Doherty Division scoring leader Davin Gray had a goal and set up the winner while Cole Dann scored the other Vets goal.
Tyler Bouck made 27 saves for his 16th win of the season.
The game was played in front of an estimated 1100 fans … the Vets reaching the 10000 plateau for the 2nd straight season !!

The Navy Vets lost a close game in Wellesley 2-1 on Saturday night.
Owen Lukings scored the lone Vets goal.
Scott Rodrigue made 33 saves in taking the loss.

The Vets now have a record of 25-5-3-0 and remain 1 point up on 2nd place New Hamburg but still have a game in hand.

Davin Gray remains the top scorer in the Doherty Division with 54 points including a division-leading 42 assists.
Tyler Bouck leads all goalies in the division with a 2.42 GAA and a .929 SV% … and is 2nd with 16 wins.

The Vets will host Tavistock Braves on Tuesday night at Southwood Arena @ 7:45pm in a re-scheduled game for a postponed game earlier this month.
