A goal by Justin McManus with just under 6 minutes left in the 2nd overtime period gave New Hamburg a 3-2 win in Game#4 of their Doherty Championship Series at Southwood on Tuesday night.
The Vets had 2 apparent goals in overtime disallowed prior to the NH goal.
Nolan Burnside had tied the game for the Navy Vets with just over 4 minutes left in the 3rd period to force the game into overtime.
Mitch Penner scored the other Navy Vets goal.
Tyler Bouck was terrific in the Vets goal making 43 saves … including some amazing game-savers among the 18 saves he made in the overtime periods.
The Navy Vets now trail the series 3-1 and must win Game#5 in New Hamburg on Friday night to force a Game#6 back here at Southwood on Saturday night.
