Vets go up 2-0 !!

The Navy Vets got 2 goals in the 2nd period to break a 1-1 tie and went on to a big 4-1 victory in New Hamburg on Friday night to take a 2-0 lead in their SF series.
Nolan Brett with a PP goal in the 1st period, Liam Munro with the winner, Ty Durston with a seeing-eye shot from the blueline, and Christian Pelley with a PP goal late in the 3rd period did the scoring for the Vets.
Keaghan Brett was sharp again in the Vets net making 29 saves for the victory.
There is little rest for the teams as Game#3 goes on Saturday night at Southwood Arena at 7:45pm.
The game will be preceded by a special ceremony honouring Woodstock’s own Garrett Riley who just won a Silver Medal with Team Canada at the Beijing Paralympics Hockey event !!!
