The Navy Vets have advanced to the Doherty Division Championship Series after a 4-1 win over Norwich Merchants at Southwood Arena tonight in front of 1462 fans !!! … the Vets took the SF series in 5 games ….
Rhylan Warford scored just over a minute into the game to start the scoring and after Norwich had tied it Connor Stanley scored off a faceoff with just 25 seconds left in the opening period … and the Vets never looked back.
After a scoreless middle period, Chris Coulter scored 5 minutes into the 3rd period and Nolan Brett added an empty net goal to seal the victory.
Tyler Bouck made 21 saves to record the win … his 4th of the series.
The Vets are in the Division Finals for the first time since 2007.
They will meet the New Hamburg Firebirds in a battle between the top 2 teams all season … the schedule will be announced soon !!
