The Navy Vets scored 3 goals in the 2nd period to overcome a 2-0 deficit and went on to defeat the Tavistock Braves 4-2 at Southwood Arena on Saturday night.
Nolan Brett scored his 4th goal of the season while Connor Stanley scored his 1st junior goal to lead the Vets … Aaron Bullock and Chris Coulter scored the other goals. Davin Gray chipped in 2 assists.
Scott Rodrigue made 30 saves in his Vets debut to record the win.
The win was the Navy Vets 4th in a row to start the season … the 1st time since 1998 the team has started with 4 straight wins.
It also was the 100th career win for Vets’ head coach Darren Young … becoming the 4th coach in team history to reach that milestone joining Dave Bogart, Ed MacQueen, and Scott Brooks.
Milestone night for coach as Vets remain unbeaten !!
