The Navy Vets lost 5-3 in Tavistock on Friday night after the Braves scored twice in the last minute with a late powerplay goal and an empty-netter.
Owen Lukings had tied the game for the Vets with just over 6 minutes left in the 3rd period on a shorthanded unassisted goal after blocking a shot at his own blueline.
The Navy Vets jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st period on goals by Ethan Szabo and Aiden Kindurys.
The Braves scored twice in the middle frame to send the game into the 3rd period tied 2-2.
Division scoring leader Davin Gray of the Vets was held pointless for the 2nd straight game after starting the season with a 16-game point streak.
The game marked the debut of newly acquired Nolan Burnside for the Vets.
