Waking up with the Vets – Nov 20

The Navy Vets got 2 goals in the 1st period by Mack Easter for a good start to an important game at Southwood Arena on Friday night against New Hamburg Firebirds. After Firebirds captain Zach Mark made the game closer with a goal in the first part of the 2nd period, the Vets blew the game wide open with 6 goals in the last 11 minutes of the middle frame to take a commanding 8-1 lead into the final period. Defencemen led the outburst with Patrick Klazer and newcomer Ty Durston each scoring 2 goals. After a brief lapse and giving up a couple of goals early in the 3rd period Caden Bower scored to seal the deal. In the end it was a great team effort and a 9-4 convincing win by the Navy Vets.
