In a good battle at Nor-Del Arena the Navy Vets lost 5-3 to the Merchants in Norwich on Friday night …
The Vets led 1-0 after the 1st period, trailed 3-2 after 2 periods, and then after the Vets tied the game early in the 3rd period the Merchants scored a powerplay goal at the midway point of the period and added an empty net goal to seal the victory.
Rhylan Warford, Logan Pace-Roth, and Brodie Kearns scored for the Vets.
Tyler Bouck made 27 saves in taking just his 3rd loss of the season.
