The Navy Vets split their games this weekend …
Owen Lukings scored twice as the Navy Vets beat Wellesley Applejacks 4-2 on Friday night at Southwood Arena !!
Davin Gray and Brady Carne scored the others.
Scott Rodrigue made 27 saves in recording his 9th win of the season.
The Navy Vets lost 4-3 in OT in Tavistock on Saturday night.
The Navy Vets were down 2-0 after the 1st period and then 3-0 just over 1 minute into the 2nd period.
But Owen Lukings with his 3rd goal of the weekend, Nolan Brett with his 21st goal of the season, and Mitch Penner tied the game before the 2nd period ended.
After a scoreless 3rd period the teams went to overtime where the Braves won it on a goal with just 1 1/2 minutes left in the extra frame.
Tyler Bouck was terrific in the Vets net despite the loss making 50 saves.

The Vets have a record of 24-4-0-3 for 51 points while New Hamburg is just 1 point back in 2nd place with a 24-7-0-2 record for 50 points … but the Vets also have 2 games-in-hand on the Firebirds.
Davin Gray remains the top scorer in the Doherty Division with 52 points including a division-leading 41 assists.
