Vets outscore Braves for big win !!

In a big battle at Southwood Arena on Saturday night between the 2nd place Tavistock Braves and 3rd place Navy Vets, the game lived up to its billing.
The teams combined for 13 goals against 2 of the best goalies in the Doherty Division this season with the Vets outlasting the Braves 7-6.
Caden Bower had 2 goals and 2 assists while Patrick Klazer added 2 goals to lead the Vets … Griffin Sinden had a goal and 2 assists and Kyle Baker added a goal and an assist with Sam Barry getting the other Vets goal. Klazer’s 2nd goal came with just over 5 minutes left and proved to be the winner.
Keaghan Brett and Graeme Noye had to make just 2 saves to record the win after taking over for starter Keaghan Brett following Tavistock’s 6th goal that gave the Braves the lead early in the 3rd period.

Special Congratulations:

Caden Bower had his 4th 2-goal game of the season.
Nolan Brett was a member of the South Prospects team in the Prospects Game in Norwich on Saturday afternoon !!

What’s Next:

The Vets are off now for the holiday break and don’t play again until they go to Tavistock on Jan.07.

In other action on Saturday night, Wellesley beat Burford 4-0 and New Hamburg beat Hespeler 4-1.

Current Standings:

The Vets sit in 3rd place with a 16-4-3 record for 35 points… just 2 points back of 2nd place Tavistock and 3 points up on 4th place New Hamburg, but with a game in hand on both of those teams in the PJHL Doherty Division standings.
