Vets fall short in scorefest !!

Former Vet Kyle Baker set the stage for a scorefest at Southwood Arena on Friday night scoring just 22 seconds into the game.
Then the Vets and the Wellesley Applejacks went toe-to-toe for 3 periods with the Applejacks sealing an 8-6 victory with a last-minute empty net goal by Isiah Katsube with his 3rd of the game.
Nolan Brett had a terrific game for the Vets scoring twice and setting up 2 others.
Team scoring leader Davin Gray and Ethan Szabo each had a goal and 2 assists as well … that line accounting for 10 points including 4 goals.
Tyler Bouck and Graeme Noye split the duties in the Vets net making 23 total saves.
The Vets fall to 12-14-1-0 but remain 8 points back of Tavistock with 2 games in hand after the Braves lost at home to 1st place New Hamburg.
The Vets travel to Paris on Saturday night.
