The New Hamburg Firebirds scored twice in the 1st period for the 2nd straight game and then made it 3-0 early in the 2nd period and never looked back to take a 3-1 win in New Hamburg on Monday night and even the series 2-2.
Jonah Jacksteit scored the lone Vets goal in the middle frame but the Vets couldn’t muster an attack in the 3rd period to close the lead.
Keaghan Brett made 48 saves to keep the Vets in the game to have a chance for a comeback.
The series is now a Best-of-3 with Game#5 going on Friday night at Southwood Arena @ 7:45pm …
