The Navy Vets started slowly against Burford on Tuesday night at Southwood Arena.
Braeden Nelson got the Vets started midway thru the 1st period but then the game remained at 1-0 until Nolan Brett scored 2 consecutive goals midway thru the 2nd period to open the game up.
After Burford scored late in the 2nd period Nelson scored his 2nd of the game early in the 3rd and Kyle Baker and Nelson again completing his hattrick scored soon after to put the game away.
Keaghan Brett made 24 saves to record his Doherty Division leading 15th win of the season … and also assisted on his brother’s 1st goal.

The Vets host New Hamburg at Southwood Arena on Friday night celebrating Fan Appreciation Night and honouring their overagers in their final regular season home game.

There were no other games in the Doherty Division on Tuesday night.
Current Standings:
The win moves the Vets back into a 1st place tie with Wellesley although the Applejacks have a game-in-hand.
