Norwich broke open a close game with 3 goals in the 2nd period and went on to beat the Navy Vets 6-1 at Nor-Del Arena on Sunday afternoon for a sweep of the weekend rivalry games.
The Merchants won a great battle 3-2 at Southwood on Friday night before over 900 fans.
Jake Phelan scored the lone Vets goal. Team scoring leader Davin Gray assisted on the goal and continues to lead all division rookies in scoring.
Tyler Bouck started in the Navy Vets net and took the loss while making 27 saves before being replaced by Graeme Noye for the 3rd period.
The Navy Vets remain entrenched in 5th place with a 13-16-0-1 record and 9 points back of Tavistock but with 2 games in hand.
