the Vets have just a 1-point lead in the Doherty Division on 2nd place New Hamburg with 24-4-3-0 record but also still have 2 games-in-hand on the Firebirds.

they kickoff the weekend at Southwood Arena on Friday night when they host rival Norwich Merchants for the 7th and final time this season in the “Battle of Hwy 59” series unless they meet in the playoffs … the Vets have won 5 of the previous 6 games between the 2 teams so far this season including all 3 at Southwood … it is Special Olympics Awareness Night as we honour the Woodstock and Ingersoll Special Olympians …

on Saturday the Vets are on the road as they travel to meet the Wellesley Applejacks @ 7:30pm … the Vets have won 4 of the 5 games between the 2 teams so far this season.

Davin Gray of the Vets continues to lead the division in scoring accumulating 52 points on a division-leading 41 assists to go along with 11 goals … the Vets actually have 3 of the top 10 scorers with Nolan Brett 3rd (including 21 goals) and Ethan Szabo 7th and have 3 more players in the top 20 scorers !!
Tyler Bouck leads the division in 2 key goaltending categories with 2.39 GAA and a .930 SV% and is 2nd with 15 wins.
